YouTubers Kissing Challenge with my Fiancé!

My fiancé Heath and I played a game I made up called the YouTubers Kissing Challenge where we had to kiss every time a famous YouTuber says a certain word. I picked a few of my favourite YouTubers, guessed what word they might say often in a recent video, and then we watched and kissed away – the results of which are in the video above!

This was shot in our room at Hotel Zed Victoria where we were invited to stay for a romantic weekend and share with you about their upcoming Valentine’s Day promotion! They’re having a “Nooner Package” where you can book a room for 3 hours of bliss over lunch hour including the room and some games to set the mood. Thank you to them for sponsoring this video and if you want to book that for $69 on Valentine’s Day (or stay overnight on Feb 14th for $89) just get in touch with them through hotelzed.com for their Victoria or Kelowna location!

Here are the YouTubers we watched and the words we kissed to, which are linked to the specific videos we watched:

Matthew Lush: BOYFRIEND

Matthew Lush is a YouTube personality and gay rights  advocate. He is known for his channel GayGod, which has amassed over 1 million subscribers. He joined the YouTube world on February 6, 2006, posting his first video in April of that year. He is a self-proclaimed hopeless romantic and is known for shedding light on the kind of struggles the gay community goes through, and sometimes even taking the over-board route by sharing rather provocative videos, Lush’s channels are definitely a no-borer.

Jeffree Star:  LOVE

Jeffree Star  is an American Internet personality, makeup artist, entrepreneur, and singer-songwriter. He is the founder and owner of Jeffree Star Cosmetics. By 2006, Star had become the most followed person on Myspace. He frequently used the platform to promote his music career. In 2009, Star released his first and only studio album, Beauty Killer, which included songs such as “Lollipop Luxury” featuring Nicki Minaj. In 2014, he founded his own cosmetics company, Jeffree Star Cosmetics; he subsequently began promoting the brand on YouTube, where he has since amassed more than 11 million subscribers and over 1.2 billion views, as of 2018.

Gabbie Hanna: FACETUNE

Gabrielle Jeannette Hanna is an American Internet personality, author, comedian, actress, and singer-songwriter. She started her career on the streaming service Vine, under the name The Gabbie Show, then started a YouTube channel with the same name a year later; both were nominated for several awards. She won a Streamy Award for storyteller in 2018. As an actress, Hanna’s first major role was in the YouTube Premium series Escape the Night.

Colleen Ballinger: BABY

Colleen Mae Ballinger is an American comedian, actress, singer, writer and YouTube personality. She is best known for her Internet character Miranda Sings, posting videos of the character on YouTube, performing her one-woman comedy act on tour in theatres worldwide, and creating a Netflix original television show based on the character. She created the comically talentless, egotistical and eccentric character to satirize the many YouTube videos featuring people singing badly in hopes of breaking into show business, but who appear unaware of their lack of talent. In her videos and stage act, the narcissistic character sings and dances badly, discusses current events that she misunderstands, gives inept “tutorials”, collaborates with other YouTubers, and rants about her critics, whom she calls the “haters”.

Freelee: VEGAN

Freelee the angry vegan, banana girl, or Leanne Ratcliffe, is an Australian YouTuber known for eating 51 bananas a day and being a massive supporter of all things vegan. She is also the author of an e-book, international speaker and educator, and an online raw food coach.

Make sure you try this game out yourself! It’s a lot more fun than a drinking game and you feel much better the next day. 😉
