Whistler: gay-friendly destination for LGBTQ travel

Whistler is a Canadian resort town, located about 2 hours North of Vancouver, in the province of British Columbia. The drive there goes along the “Sea-to-Sky highway”, which has some pretty stunning scenery, and it’s home to Whistler Blackcomb, one of the largest ski resorts in North America. Besides skiing and snowboarding in the winter, the area also offers snowshoeing, tobogganing and ski jumping as just a few outdoor activity options. Over two million people visit Whistler each year, but many gay men choose to go in January for Pride, which is when we went!

You can see my first video (above) focused on the hotels and restaurants we experienced during our visit which includes the Evolution Whistler – Creekside LodgingAava Whistler HotelAura restaurantSidecut Modern Steak & Bar, and Elements urban tapas parlour.

The second video (below) focused on the attractions we saw and the activities we did while there, which includes the Superfly ZiplinesSnowmobiling ToursWhistler Blackcomb Mountains, and Whistler Pride.

Our itinerary was put together with help from both Whistler Pride and Tourism Whistler and here are some of the photos I shared on Instagram from our visit:

I also did a video from our first hotel where I was answering some personal questions with my boyfriend and another video from our second hotel where we discussed things that guys over 40 shouldn’t have, so be sure to check those out too. Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel while you’re there for more fun videos from our travels that are especially great for gay couples like us!
