Houston: gay-friendly destination for LGBTQ travel

Houston is the most populous city in the state of Texas and the fourth-most populous city in the United States as a whole. Houston is a global city (also known as Space City) with a focus on entertainment, media, fashion, science, technology, sports, medicine, education, and research, to name a few! It is home to many cultural institutions and exhibits, which attract more than 7 million visitors a year to the Museum District, including myself and my boyfriend in 2018 for our (gay) couples getaway!

You can see the first episode (above) focused on the hotels and restaurants we experienced during our visit. It includes the Royal Sonesta HotelHotel AlessandraCaracolStarfishOriginal Ninfa’s on Navigation, and Oxbow 7.

The second episode (below) focused on the attractions we saw and the activities we did while there. It includes the Houston City ToursThe Orange ShowSmither ParkThe Beer Can HouseHouston Arboretum & Nature Center, and The Menil Collection.

Our itinerary was put together with help from Visit Houston and here are some of the photos I shared on Instagram from the area:

We also did a video from our first hotel where my boyfriend told the WORST Dad Jokes and another video from our second hotel with my boyfriend where we had abath time discussion so be sure to check those out too and subscribe to my YouTube channel while you’re there for more fun videos from our travels designed for the LGBTQ traveler to find awesome and safe places to visit!
