My fiancé Heath finally had some time free to come travel with me again so we went to Parksville together and then met up with my best friend Mary and her family in Sooke (both are towns on Vancouver Island). Mary’s son Dylan calls me “Guncle” and I’ve known him since he was one day old so I refer to him as my nephew because he’s basically family! It was really nice to have some quality time with a few of my favorite people.
Here are the places and experiences featured in this video above: Helijet, Sunrise Ridge Waterfront Resort, Morningstar Farm, The Old Country Market, Cuckoo in Coombs, Cathedral Trail at MacMillan Provincial Park, Paradise Fun Park, Mountain Arrowsmith Brewing Company, Sooke Harbour Resort & Marina, West Coast Outdoor Adventure, True Key Adventures, Sooke Potholes Regional Park, and Stickleback Eatery.
Thanks to Tourism Vancouver Island for their part in making this trip possible and here are some of the photos that I shared on my Instagram account from our visit:

A 3-minute version of this video also aired on TV in Canada! My experiences during my year as Mr. Gay Canada are being showing on OUTtv (our national LGBT station) in between their regular programming. Feel free to subscribe to my YouTube channel (and hit the bell notification after doing so) if you’d like to see more videos from the gay-friendly destinations that I go to!
