Amazing trip to nature in Squamish, BC

Squamish-BCI live in Vancouver, BC and a popular getaway for myself and my friends is to drive 2 hours North to Whistler. It’s a great, outdoorsy destination, and sometimes on the way we stop for gas or a snack about half way there in a small city called Squamish. That’s been the only reason I’ve had to stop there… or so I thought until now!

The Canadian Internet Marketing Conference took place there last year and I wasn’t able to attend then, but had heard a lot about it, and this year thanks to Marwick Internet Marketing and Tourism Squamish I was able to go as well as get a day of sightseeing.  I was really pumped to hear speakers from companies like Google, eBay, Twitter, Yelp, and Yahoo speak about digital marketing, but I had no idea how much I’d like Squamish itself as well!

The conference was 2 days of fantastic speakers and awesome networking with hundreds of people interested/working in online marketing and then my 3rd day was spent touring around with Alpine North Limousine. As you can see in the video above we experienced Fergie’s Café at Sunwolf Resort, Sea to Sky Air, the Sea to Sky Gondola, the Britannia Mine Museum, and Howe Sound Inn & Brewing Company.

My friend Mary from Vancouver Bits and Bites went with me on this trip, and although we each had our own room at The Sandman Hotel and Suites, we were pretty inseparable whenever we were awake!  Below are a few photos that I shared of the trip on Instagram and check out some of my other travel posts before you go.  Otherwise I hope you get the chance to #ExploreSquamish too! 😀
