AKickstarter is a pretty amazing place. After all, where else could you get your wildest ideas completely funded? Well, maybe the other websites that are kinda similar to Kickstarter. But we’re not talking about those today. And, to be honest, we’re not even talking about amazing ideas today. No, today we’re focusing on the weirdest and craziest Kickstarters. How crazy are we talking? Well…

For example, there was a Kickstarter created just for someone to make a potato salad. And they ended up actually raising thousands of dollars. But, because it doesn’t take nearly that much money to make a single potato salad, he had to end up using the money on a potato salad festival. Wait a second, is it just us or does that sound incredible? Who else is totally down to go to a potato salad fest?

And then there’s the person that started a Kickstarter to create a giant recreation of Lionel Richie’s head. Yeah, that was a real thing that happened. We’re all for spending a few bucks on something crazy but that might be crossing the line. Even though, if we’re being honest, it would be pretty awesome to have a recreation of Lionel Richie’s head that you could see whenever you want. Nevermind, we’ve totally changed our minds on this topic. We’e totally in favor of it now. Extra points if it could sing “Hello” on command as well.

And then there’s the absolute craziest. Are you ready for this? Well, someone had the bright idea to try making donating blood fun. Sounds like an interesting venture. Well, they thought it would be a good idea to combine video gaming and donating blood by creating  console where, every time you lose, you literally have blood drained out of you. That’s pretty hardcore, dude. Unsurprisingly, this didn’t end up going too well and the project was cancelled by Kickstarter. Now, who would have thought that would happen?

This got us thinking: what pther crazy ideas are we going to see Kickstarted soon? Do you have an idea for a crazy Kickstarter? After all, everyone has that one interesting idea that they think could make them an instant millionaire, right? Well, you should let us know in the comments! Maybe you’ll end up on another episode of the Sassy Scoop where we chronicle even more crazy Kickstarters.
